What this office does
Much of the work here concerns paperwork that determines what a business is actually agreeing to — a supply contract, a lease, the articles of a new company. Reading these documents takes time that a founder or a small team does not always have, and the language is not always written for the reader's convenience.
This office sets out, in plain terms, what a document commits the reader to, what is unusual about its wording, and what might reasonably be raised before signing. The intention is to leave the decision with the reader, supported by a clear account of what is actually on the page.

Working basis
The office is based in Fukuoka and takes on matters for small companies, independent operators, and founders, including those setting up a Japanese entity from overseas. Fees are set out per matter in advance, and each piece of work has a stated scope and turnaround.
